I recently had the pleasure of staying at Itsumoya, a charming traditional Japanese townhouse that truly feels like a home away from home. With its spacious rooms adorned with beautiful wood-carvings and tatami flooring, it offered a unique experience that was both comfortable and cozy—perfect for my trip exploring historical sites with a couple of friends. The property is ideally located just a two-minute walk from the ferry terminal, making it super convenient for our adventures on Miyajima. I loved how we had the whole place to ourselves in the evenings, allowing us to unwind in the tranquil Japanese garden and share stories around the low table in the lounge. Another highlight was the kitchenette, where we could whip up simple meals after a long day of sightseeing. Plus, the friendly staff provided us with helpful recommendations for nearby restaurants, including a lovely dinner spot just around the corner. I wish we could have stayed longer to soak it all in! Highly recommended for anyone seeking an authentic experience!
